3 Easy-To-Make Casserole Recipes The Whole Family Will Enjoy

Casserole as a dish has been known to exist way back in the 12th century. Over the years, the delicious, filling dish has been a staple at dinner tables around the world. The dish has become well-loved as it is easy to prepare, can be customized and not to mention affordable.
Here are 3 quick casserole recipes for the whole family:
Cheesy Pepperoni Casserole
What you need:
1/2 kilogram ground Italian sausage
3 cups cottage cheese
2 cups rotini pasta, freshly cooked to al dente
2 cups pasta sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup sliced black olives
3/4 cup sliced pepperoni
Cook sausage in a pan until evenly brown. Place sausage, pasta and pasta sauce in a greased medium casserole dish. Combine cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese and olives in a bowl then add to the casserole dish Arrange pepperoni slices on top of the mixture then bake in a pre-heated oven (350 degrees F) until lightly browned and bubbly, about 20 to 25 minutes.
White Potato Casserole
What you need:
1 package frozen hash brown potatoes
1 white onion, chopped
3 cups crushed corn flakes
2 cups sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 1/4 cup condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup butter
Place hash browns in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Mix together sour cream, cheddar cheese and mushroom soup in a large bowl. Melt half the butter in a skillet over medium heat then cook onion until tender. Add butter and onion to bowl with mushroom soup and stir. Pour mixture over hash brown in prepared baking dish. Top with crushed corn flakes. Melt the remaining butter in a skillet then pour over corn flakes. Bake in a pre-heated oven (425 degrees F) for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
The Breakfast Casserole
What you need:
6 large eggs
1/2 kilogram sage-flavored breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
3 cups shredded potatoes
2 cups small curd cottage cheese
1 1/2 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese
1/2 cup onion, shredded
1/4 cup butter, melted
Stir together potatoes and butter in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Line the bottom of the dish with the mixture. In a large bowl, combine eggs, crumbled sausage, cottage cheese, cheddar cheese and onion then pour mixture over potatoes. Cook in a pre-heated oven (375 degrees F) for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until cooked through.
